Open Day 2016/17

This Open Day is a great opportunity for new players to have a go, have some fun and see what our sports have to offer! The summer season consists of three sports – Hockey, Balloon Soccer and Rugby League. These sports were specifically designed for electric wheelchair users and is open to anyone who uses an electric wheelchair. Beginners and spectators always welcome!

Hockey

Broadly based on field hockey rules, but played with either a: Light-weight plastic Unihoc stick or Plastic ‘T’ bar fitted to the wheelchair as well as using a light-weight Unihoc ball.

Rugby League

A tennis ball is used to commence play and to convert a TRY into a GOAL. The game is played by imagining the flight of a ball between numbered players who call the number of their team mate who is intended to receive the ‘ball’, subject to ‘Tackles’ by opposing players.
